About Larimar
Discovered in 1974 and found only in the Dominican Republic, Larimar is a rare variety of pectolite with a unique copper and sodium composition that gives it its signature blue hue. Its name combines Larissa (the discoverer’s daughter) with mar (Spanish for “sea”).
