Labradorite is considered a tremendously spiritual stone, especially helpful for people who tend to overwork. It helps an individual regain energy while aiding the body and spirit in healing itself. In the metaphysical world, labradorite is considered one of the most powerful protectors. The gemstone creates a shield for auras and protects against negativity of the world. Labradorite is said to temper the negativity within ourselves as well. Labradorite is known for its changing colors, so it is no surprise this gemstone is known as a stone of transformation, enhancing strength of will and inner worth. The gemstone labradorite is said to stimulate the throat chakra. Though not associated with any zodiac sign, supposedly the sign of Cancer is especially drawn to labradorite.
Labradorite is named for where it was found in Labrador, a Canadian province on the Isle of Paul. Inuits once called labradorite a "fire stone" and would use powdered forms to help cure ailments. According to Inuit legend, a warrior saw the Northern Lights trapped in the rocks and struck them with his spear to free some of the lights. The stone was first described by Moravian missionaries of the late eighteenth century, introducing the stone into the European market.
HOW DO I FIND MY PERFECT SIZE?
- Grab something thin and flexible. It could be a string, another necklace, or even a phone charger/charging cable!
- Place it around your neck (ankle or wrist) and position how you want your Tula to lay.
- Hold either end & then measure the string to find your perfect length.
- We recommend first finding the length of the shortest necklace you want. Then, if you’re creating a Tula stack, just add 2” for each subsequent necklace. (If starting with a 14” choker and want your choker stack closer together, only add 1” between necklaces.)
When measuring a Tula Blue piece, we hang the puka off the ruler and the loop just barely goes over final length.

So while our ROPE is created to be incredibly durable, it will last longer with proper care. Our rope can be cut, so be super careful when shaving. And our mother of pearl crescents and stone pendants can break if dropped. Pearls don’t love super-chlorinated environments- the pool is fine, but you may consider not taking them into a heavily chlorinated hot tub. Taking basic measures to protect and care for your Tula Blue will help preserve the materials. Our most common Tula Blue killers: razors & cats. Please take care to shave around your anklet, move it, don’t shave it! And be sure to keep your Tula Blue away from your feline friends!

All of our Tula Blue pieces are made, packaged and shipped out by one of our two Texas workshops. Due to the handmade nature of our products, orders typically ship within 1 to 5 business days. Once shipped, you’ll receive a tracking URL via email.
You can easily return your order within 35 days. Items must be returned to us in the same condition that you received them.
